Police say the high-traffic location didn’t deter thieves from breaking into a car dealership in Kewanee, Illinois.

Someone forced their way into Motor City Auto at 505 Tenney Street sometime during the overnight hours Tuesday night to Wednesday morning, December 3-4, 2013.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the office inside the dealership.

“The location is in a high traffic area in Kewanee, situated on the corner of Tenney and Garfield streets, and authorities are hoping someone may have noticed something going on at the location,” said a statement from Henry County Crime Stoppers.

Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to call Henry County Crime Stoppers at 800-227-2324.  Calls are anonymous and tips that lead to a felony arrest in the case could be eligible for a cash reward.
